Alex has spent the last 20 years learning and then leading all aspects of the market research industry. Prior to forming Brookmark, Alex was president of Research Data Technology (RDT), where he was instrumental in the evolution of a traditional data entry and processing operation into a full-service data management firm. Prior to RDT, Alex held leadership positions on both the client and supplier-side of the business at Scudder Investments and Abt Associates, respectively. A dedicated outdoorsman and athlete, Alex approaches meeting his clients’ research needs the same way he approaches tying flies and coaching boys’ basketball – with patience, humor, enthusiasm, and a drive for perfection.
Dennis has over 10 years of experience developing web applications, increasing information flow and access. The last 5 years Dennis has applied this skill set to market research industry, creating complex online surveys and reports. In addition, he has integrated backend applications with client CRM systems, automating the entire data collection phase of research initiatives. He has brought technology to an industry where traditionally it was an afterthought. Dennis has become a leader among his colleagues, not only training and mentoring junior staff, but also changing the mindset of the most experienced industry veterans.
Kate has over 20 years of experience designing, coordinating and executing market research for the financial services, healthcare and consumer goods industries. Prior to joining Brookmark, Kate led a range of research initiatives with Abt Associates and Boston Research Group, where her clients included premier banking, insurance and mutual fund companies, and areas of specialization included complex tracking studies. She graduated summa cum laude from Colgate University and received her Master’s degree in Economics from Boston University with a focus on statistics.
Jill Simmons has conducted research and consulting assignments for the financial services and healthcare industries for more than 20 years. Over the years, Jill has developed a unique specialty in large-scale research projects including multiple audiences and multiple geographies. Jill is well known for her attention to detail and accuracy. Prior to joining Brookmark Research Services, Jill worked at Boston Research Group for 17 years, serving as Managing Director/Chief Operating Office for the last 8 years. Jill was also an Associate at Abt Associates in the Financial Services Practice. In her free time, Jill enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking, hiking, cooking and sitting on the beach with a good book.
Jarod has been in the Information Technology industry for 10 years, working with web and Windows applications, database programming, and reporting systems. He has 6 years of experience in both programming elaborate online surveys and reporting that data on a variety of systems. In addition to market research, Jarod’s experience also includes extracting and reporting data on intricate and diverse electronic medical record and practice management systems. No matter which industry he’s working in, Jarod has always sought out ways to use technology to improve the experience of both users and developers.
Eric is a marketing research and brand strategy consultant who specializes in the design and execution of marketing research to help guide brand and experience strategy. Over the past 20+ years, he has worked with leading brands in the U.S. and abroad to help define and assess targeting, brand and positioning, user experience, product, pricing and communications strategies. An expert on the design and execution of market segmentation, buyer and user journey research, positioning, advertising, brand and advertising tracking engagements, he helps clients realize more effective marketing strategies, tactics and programs. Prior to joining Brookmark, Eric lead the Marketing Intelligence practice at Isobar, formerly Copernicus Marketing Consulting. He has a BA of Mathematics from Middlebury College, a MS in Operations Research and Statistics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Graduate Certificate in Analytics from DePaul University.
